30 Days Of Lipstick #2

I cannot believe it's going so fast! Today it's already time to show you the second part of my 30 days of lipstick challenge (read #1 here). Without further or do, here are the next ten lipstick of my challenge.

This time I had a little bit more days where I didn't wear makeup, five days. That brings my total up to seven which means I only have three no makeup days left and ten more lipsticks to wear. Let's hope I can do that. For now let's look at the past ten lipsticks I wore. Ow and on day 23 I forgot to take a picture.
Day 13: Maybelline Super Stay 14hr Lipstick in the shade 430 Stay With Me Coral (review)
Day 15: Essence Longlasting Lipstick in the shade 09 Wear Berries! (review) & Essence Lipliner in the shade 15 Honey Berry
Day 18: Essence Longlasting Lipstick in the shade 03 Come Naturally (review)
Day 19: Bourjois Rouge Edition Lipstick in the shade 08 Rose Studio (review)
Day 20: Catrice LE Glamazona Lip Colour Pen in the shade I Got The Flower! (review)
Day 21: Rimmel Apocalips Lip Laquer in the shade 101 Celestial (review)
Day 23: Catrice Beautifying Lip Smoother in the shade 020 Apricot Cream (review)
Day 24: Catrice Ultimate Stay Lipstick in the shade 060 Floral Coral (review)
Day 26: Nyx Butter Gloss in the shade Merengue (review)
Day 27: Catrice Ultimate Colour Lipstick in the shade 350 MATTador (review) & Essence Lipliner in the shade 14 Femme Fatale (review)
And that was it, I wore twenty lipsticks! I was expecting it to be harder by now but I've discovered that I have a lot of neutral lipsticks so I'm still good for a while. Today is day thirty so I'm almost done and then I'll be back with my final update.

Maybelline The Colossal Go Extreme! Volume Express Leather Black

Lately I've been having problem with starting my posts, it's becoming quit hard to start my posts. That's why I'll just start this post by saying three words. Mascara, Maybelline, Review. Let's go!

This is the Volum' Express Colossal Go Extreme! in the Leather Black version. Don't know why I choose this one to be honest, there was a sale and I couldn't choose so I just grabbed one. When I got home I realized that this was the one I saw a advert off that I just thought was a super big hoax. This is the one with the weird double curved stem. This is supposed to deliver a double shot of mascara. I don't think this is true at all, the mascara clings to the brush and the stem has nothing to do with that. Just a weird unnecessary thing. That doesn't mean the mascara cannot be good however.

The brush is very big and enormous which is something I never really like in a mascara wand. Usually this results in mascara all over my eye and clumpy lashes. I really hope this one is better then that.

The  first time I used this mascara I hated it with all my heart. It did absolutely nothing for my lashes. Luckily it got better once it dried out, now I actually like it. The dried out formula makes my lashes longer and volumizes them quite nicely. I don't really have a negative comment now, maybe that the formula doesn't last as long as I'd want it to. At the end of the day, there isn't much curl left.

I have mixed feelings about this mascara. Once the formula has dried out I like it but the brush is just huge. Maybe that huge brush is what gives your lashes volume but it's a pain in the ass to apply the mascara with it. The result is good but not the mascara won't survive a rainy bicycle ride (maybe the waterproof version is better in that department, if a waterproof one exists). If I put everything together I can say that I'm quite positive. It's probably not a mascara I'd repurchase but I won't mind using it until I finish it. If you're looking for a mascara that volumizes and gives your lashes a little bit more length you can give this a try, I'd say this is a good day time mascara if you don't want too much. For me however this isn't quite enough, I prefer super voluminous long lashes. Still, it's a nice mascara.

Maybelline The Colosssal Go Extreme! Volume Express Leather Black Mascara is available at the drugstore for €15,49.

The Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter

When it comes to skin care, I usually stick to the things because I know that my it works for my skin. I'm also the worst when it comes to skin care, I have a routine but when I don't feel like I just wipe my face with some micellar water. I know it's bad but don't we all have those days? During this last month however I've been trying harder to take care of my skin (which has payed off) and I've also tried some new products. Today I'm reviewing one of those is the cleansing butter I'm writing about today.

I've never tried a cleansing butter before but I've been wanting to for a while now. Obviously I've been wanting to try the Emma Hardie Cleansing Balm but since that is quite expensive I went for the one by the Body Shop. I've heard a lot of good things about this one and it hasn't disappointed me. The idea of a cleansing balm is really simple, you just massage the product into your face, wipe it off with some lukewarm water and gone is most of your makeup. I say most because I find that it doesn't completely removes my eye makeup. I still have a black wash under my eyes after I washed off the balm but this wash is easily removed with some micellar water (I'm currently using the Garnier one). When I first started using this I was afraid that it would make my skin act up because essentially your applying an oil to your face but I haven't seen a single pimple. As long as you wipe your face off thoroughly, you should be fine as well. I don't know if the balm works miracles for your skin but I haven't noticed that my skin got worse, it just stayed the same.
Removing my makeup with a butter feels really glamorous for some reason, I cannot explain it. It feels like I'm in a spa or something similar but then for a really affordable price. I've been using this balm for two weeks now and I've decided I like it. At first I wasn't sure because I didn't know how my skin would react but luckily it reacted in a good way. No major changed but using this balm (and the other new product I bought) has made my skin more clear and less dry. Soon I'll do a post in which I'll show you my evening skin care routine but for now I'll just say this. If your looking for a new product to take your makeup off, definitely give this a try. It's affordable, good and (before I forget to mention it) smells nice. It's just an overall good product.

You can buy the 'Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter' at The Body Shop for €13.-

Zara Powdery Magnolia

Today I'm showing you the perfume I've been wearing for the last month and guess what, it's super cheap! The perfume I'm talking about is Powdery Magnolia from Zara. I went to Zara with the intention of buying a small shoulder bag (which I got) but when I walked past the perfumes, I couldn't resist. I sniffed a few perfumes but when I got to this one, I was sold.

I immediately loved the bottle, the oval shape and the minimalistic letters are absolutely gorgeous, it's simplicity makes it beautiful. There are two other floral shades in this line (that doesn't have a name as far as I know) that come in the same bottle but the colour of the liquid is different. Those perfumes are called 'Black Peony' and 'Bright Rose', also really nice but this one was my favourite. Probably because of the magnolia, one of my favourite perfume ingredients.
The other notes are:
Top note: bergamot
Middle notes: magnolia and rose
Base notes: musk and amber
When I read these notes for the review I was surprised, I did not really expect to find heavy notes as musk and amber in there. Just because the scent of this perfume is not heavy at all, it's above all floral. Normally I don't go for floral scents but this one has something special to it, something I really like. I've had multiple complements on it and when I told the people who asked it was from Zara, they just stared at me. Apparently most people don't even know Zara even makes perfumes. If you are one of those people, you have to take a look at them because there is a wide range of scents and they don't cost much at all.

You can buy Powdery Magnolia at Zara stores for €10,95.

Essie Petal Pushers

In today's post I'm going to show you which nail polish I've been wearing on my nails for the past couple of weeks. It's part of the Essie spring collection with whom I'm obsessed at the moment. I already own Flowerista which is a gorgeous purple shade but I regretted not buying this so much that I immediately went back the day after I bought that first one. This one is called Petal Pushers and it's inspired by the refreshing cool rain and has the colour of slate. This is such a beautiful neutral colour that you cannot go wrong with when wearing it. As you know I love Essie polishes and this one is no exception, it's opaque in two coats and the lasting power is great. I think the Essie spring collection is still available but I've also seen the summer collection in stores already (which also has some gorgeous shades in it).

You can buy Essie nail polishes for €9,99

30 Days Of Lipstick #1

Well hello my lovely readers, today's post isn't a review or something similar to that, today I'm showing you what my first 10 lipsticks of the 30 days of lipstick challenge are. I think most of you will be familiar with this challenge but for those of you who don't, I'll quickly explain it. During this challenge you'll have to wear a lipstick every single day for a full month. The challenge I'm doing has a few rules which makes it a bit easier if you, like me, don't wear makeup every single day. It gives you 40 instead of 30 days to wear 30 lipsticks. Part of this challenge is that you cannot buy any lipsticks during these 30 days and so far, I'm doing great.

Like I said I'll show you the first 10 lipsticks I wore. I had two days on which I didn't wear any makeup so this post goes till day 12. I wrote reviews about most of the lipsticks so I'll link those in the list. Without further ado, here are the first 10 lipsticks of the 30 days of lipstick challenge.
Day 1:  L'Oreal Rouge Caresse in the shade 301 Dating Coral
Day 2: Essence Long Lasting Lipstick in the shade 13 Love Me (review)
Day 3: I wore no makeup at all
Day 4: Rimmel Apocalips in the shade 304 Eclipse (review)
Day 5: Mac Lipstick in the shade Pink Plaid (review)
Day 6: I had a day off school and work so I wore no makeup
Day 7: Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in the shade 220 Showy (review)
Day 8: Essence  Long Lasting Lipstick Nude in the shade 05 Cool Nude (review)
Day 9: L'Oréal Color Riche Collection Exclusive in the shade Blake's Pure Red (review)
Day 10: Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Color in the shade 162 Feel Pink (review)
Day 11: Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque in the shade 02 Rosé On The Rock (review)
Day 12: L'Oréal Color Riche l'Extraordinaire Liquid Lipstick in the shade 101 Rose Melody (review)
Et voila, 10 lipsticks worn. These first 12 days were really easy, obviously I could choose between a lot of lipsticks because I hadn't worn any of them but still. It was easy. I'm currently on day 18 and I'm still enjoying it very much. I'll update you again when I've worn 20 lipsticks!

Essence I Love Nude Eyeshadow

Wait what? A new blogpost! I haven't written any blogpost for more then a week but don't worry I'm back. I didn't upload any posts because I had to work a lot and was super busy with my study, I'm still busy but I'm trying to make blog posts again. Another thing I haven't done in a while is buy eyeshadow. That doesn't mean my love for them has died however. I think my favourite makeup product is lipstick but eyeshadow is the thing that will probably come in second place. Eyeshadow can change your whole look just like a lipstick can and still I haven't been wearing much eyeshadows lately. A sad thing since I have quite a lot of eyeshadow. Now I've even added more eyeshadows to my collection, four nude shades this time.

Unfortunately this is one of those products that doesn't look pretty when photographed, the plastic lid reflects in a bad manner and it just looks way prettier when it's open. So move on to a photo that does these beauties justice.

Look at that, much better right? There are six shades available in this 'I Love Nude' line of which I got four. I got '01 Vanilla Sugar',

The lightest shade I got is a highlighter called '01 Vanilla Sugar'. It's a very light matte shade and I hope this will be THE perfect matte inner corner and browbone highlighter for me.

This shade is called '03 Crème Brûlée', it's a little bit darker then the first one but still really light. It's in a light caramel shade and the finish is a little bit metallic. It looks absolutely gorgeous in the pan.

Then we have '04 Sweet Like Chocolate'. Just like the previous one, this is a caramel shade but this one is a lot darker. This one has a subtle shimmer in it and is the most shiny one out of these four.

The last shade I got is '05 My Favourite Tauping'. This is a semi dark taupe shade that's completely matte. I'm hoping this one will be really pigmented and a beautiful crease shade.

01 Vanilla Sugar - 03 Crème Brûlée - 04 Sweet Like Chocolate - 05 My Favourite Tauping
As you can see, the pigment is really nice on these ones, especially for a budget eyeshadow. The shades are a little bit chalky but the pigment is great. Let's see if this chalky-ish texture gives a lot of fall-out or if these shadows are just really nice.

This is the look I made with the shadows, a very light neutral look(I didn't use '04 Sweet Like Chocolate because that would make it too dark') that I've found myself wearing quite a lot lately. I just use Vanilla Sugar in my inner corner and on my brow bone, Crème Brûlée all over the lid and My Favourite Tauping in my crease. I love this neutral pretty look and especially with a winged eyeliner like this, this is just my perfect everyday look.

I'm impressed with these shadows, a lot of nude drugstore eyeshadows have little pigment or when the swatches look great, the colour doesn't transfer to your eyes at all. With these shadows that's not the case, the neutral shades are just as beautiful on my eyes as they are on my arm. The chalky texture creates a little bit of fall-out but nothing too bad. If your still in need of some good cheap nude shades, go check these out. The colour selection is quite good and for the price you cannot really pass them over.

You can but the Essence I Love Nude Eyeshadows for €2,59 at the drugstore

April Favourites

April has gone really really fast in my opinion, I feel like I skipped the month to be honest. I was super busy with school but I did a lot of things too. The weather was mostly gorgeous and I really feel like it's spring right now. I don't have a lot of favourites because I really committed to picking the products I'm really obsessed with and that I've been using way too much.

As you can see, I have 5 favourites, well actually six but the brush and foundation belong together. Now I've brought it up, my first favourite is the L'Oréal True Match foundation in the shade 'N1 Ivory' in combination with my real techniques Duo-Fiber Contour Brush. At first I didn't really love this foundation because it really accentuated the dry patches on my face. Now I'm applying it with this smaller brush that's way less dense then the one I usually use for foundation. This brush applies the foundation much more light but still gives a really nice airbrushed finish.

My second favourite is the bronzer from the Maybelline Terre Indienne Duo in the shade '09 Golden Tropics'. In my review I said that I hated the scent and I still do but the product is just so damn good. My skin is still pale and white from winter and the bronzer I usually use is way too dark. This light one is perfect and I've been using this when ever I wanted to bronze up or contour. It works great and apart from the scent, this is my new favourite bronzer.

Then I have a blush by Max Factor that I love. This is the Creme Puff Blush in the shade '15 Seductive Pink' and it's amazing. My review only came online one and a half week ago but since I plan ahead I've had this blush a bit longer. I think I've been wearing this almost every day for the past month and I think that trend will continue into may. It's just the perfect soft pink spring blush which suits my skin tone really well.

My favourite lip product of this month is the Aqua Laque by Bourjois in the shade '02 Rosé On The Rocks'. This is a such a gorgeous nude pink lip stick/gloss and it's super easy to wear. It's easily applied without a mirror and the shade just pulls your look together.

My last favourite is a shower gel from Therme. I have no idea if Therme is a Dutch brand or also available in other countries but if you spot it, get it. This is a giant bottle of coconut and chocolate shower gel which smells amazing, foams nice and doesn't make your skin feel dry after the shower. And don't worry if chocolate and coconut isn't your thing because Therme also has other scents, I really want to buy the one with watermelon but I feel like I have too many showergels already. I mean, four is kind of ridiculous.

And that was it, my five favourites for this month. I hope you enjoyed reading my post and go check these products out in the stores because they're all great.
