Dove Beauty Blossom

Hello my loves,

Twice a year Dove brings out a limited edition. Last winter Dove brought out the winter care with amber but I didn't get that one because I thought I had enough body-products for the winter (I regret it with all my heart). This time I decided to actually pick two of the three products up.
The limited edition is called: Beauty Blossom and consists of three products. Body lotion, cream and body wash. I only bought the last two because I think the bodylotion is ridiculously expensive.
The packaging is typically dove. Clean white with delicious pictures on it. This time the packaging has some relief. I like the fact they choose to do orange with green accents, it gives the products a really fresh look. As always they have done an excellent job in making the ingredients look delicious. I want to eat that blossom (even though it's a flower). It looks like it's diving in a bowl of yoghurt!
The products smell really fresh and light, like a white blossom.
The body wash feels amazing on the skin. Really cold and refreshing and therefore perfect for those hot summer days. Most of the showergels foam but since this is a body wash and doesn't foam at all. That doesn't make this products less nice.
The cream is great, really thick and it feels amazing. I always have dry skin, even in the summer. It takes however a while to revoke into my skin but I don't really mind. I normally take a shower and put the cream all over my body, then I go watch one or more YouTube videos while the cream revokes. This cream will definitely become a favorite of mine, I'm sure about it. It leaves my skin so amazingly soft and makes my skin  smell great.

  • Dove Beauty Blossom Body Wash € 3,55
  • Dove Beauty Blossom Body Cream € 2,33
  • Dove Beauty Blossom Body Lotion € 7,11

I love this limited edition and I think a lot of people will like the scent of this. I don't understand why the body lotion has to be so ridiculously expensive. It has a lot more product than the body cream, but still...
You can buy Dove at your local drugstore.

Empty: March - April

Hello my loves,

In two days were at the end of the fourth month of 2013, the end of april and time for another empty's blogpost. At the end february I did my first ever empty's post and today, two months later, it's time for the second one.
Last time I had a lot empty products and this month a lot less.
I'm going clockwise:
Kruidvat: Body Fruit Body Butter: Coconut & Shea Butter.
I took me a long time too finish this body butter, it's not that I didn't like it. I just don't use bodybutter as much as is have to. Last months I really tried to use a bodylotion or bodybutter as much as I posibliy could and finally finished it. This one didn't really do a lot for my skin. It smells however very good, like a tropical vacation.
Repurchase: maybe, it didn't do enough for my skin.

Essence: Kiss Care Love Lipbalm: 04 Caribbean Sunrise.
I have read a good review about this but I personally don't like it at all. I like the color it gives my lips but doesn't moisturize my lips, in fact, it dries them out. I didn't finish it but the packaging broke, the turn-up-system doesn't work anymore. So I can't get anymore product out of it.
Repurchase: no, it doesn't moisturize and has a crappy packaging.

Nivea: Clean Deeper!
I bought this three years ago in Denmark. I kind of lost it and found it a week ago. It's just not good anymore, it smells awful. I can't really remember if I liked it and I almost never used it, it's completely full.
Repurchase: no, I can't remember if I liked it.

Guhl: Volume Shampoo: Blue lotus and rice protein
I did really have enjoyed using this shampoo, it smells great and foams really well. It didn't made my hair voluminous but volume shampoo's never work on me (I keep trying).
Repurchase: no, it didn't do anything for my hair and I'm still hoping for a miracle volume shampoo.

Avril Lavigne: Forbidden Rose
Jeeh! I think this is my first finished perfume bottle ever. A month ago I decided to try to finish up some old perfumes and this one is the first one. I liked the smell of this but it faded away really quickly. After two hours I didn't smell it anymore but that could be because it was so old.
Repurchase: no, it fades away to quick and I like other perfumes better.

Vichy: Aqualia Thermal Light
I finished another jar of my daily cream. This has been my second one and I'm almost done with my third jar. It's just a very natural basic cream that doesn't smell like anything, just like cream.
Repurchase: yes, I already bought a new one.

Maybelline: The Falsies Volum' express : Flared
I don't know why but maybelline mascara's never really work on me. I feel like they really don't do anything more than make my lashes black. Well... It does make my lashes clumpy, that's the one thing it actually does.
Repurchase: no, doesn't work for me

Vichy: Waterproof eyemake-up remover: for sensitive eyes
I'm a big fan of Vichy, it never disappoints me. This product is another product from that brand that I really enjoyed using. I can't show you anymore because I finished it but this remover consists out of two layers; a layer with oil and another layer. You have to shake it before you use it and that start wiping away...
Repurchase: yes, I love this remover for my waterproof make-up. Nothing removes liquid liner as well as this product.

That was it for these two months. I hoped you liked reading this, even though I didn't finish as much products as I did in january and february. At the end of june I will do another empty post.

Essence Floral Grunge Naipolish: 03 Grunge Me Tender

Hello my loves,

Last week I promised you a review about the Essence Floral Grunge nailpolish. As promised.....
I bought one nailpolish out of the 5 shades the collection has. 03 Grunge Me Tender is a beautiful minty color and therefore perfect for spring. I hate the new packaging of Essence's nailpolish but luckily this limited edition has another look. I only bought one nailpolish because Essence polishes almost always disappoint me. This one I'm still not sure if I like it.
I love the color but I hate how it applies and the suede effect. It's very transparent at first and I had to apply six layers to make it opaque. Therefore it looks really sloppy and ugly.
I like the fact that they tried to follow the textured nails trend but they blew it on this one. It's has a weird matte finish that's supposed to be suede but it doesn't really look like that.

I don't think this will be one of my favorite nailpolishes of this spring but I'm going to give it another try with a shining topcoat over it, maybe that it will look cute. You can buy the nailpolishes from the Essence floral grunge collection for €1,89.

Hema: Lipbalm Stick: 7

Hello my loves,

You'll probably know the Clinique Chubby Sticks, now there's finally a budget version: the Hema Lip Balm Stick.
The packaging is almost exactly the same as the Clinique Chubby Sticks, only the Hema version is sterile white. The sticks by Clinique have the color of the balm but all the Hema sticks are plain white. Luckily the cap is clear, that way you can still see the color of the balm.
I bought number 7 (there's also and number 8 which is a red color). 7 is a beautiful light pink color. It looks really lovely and nice on the lip. The coverage isn't amazing but good enough to give you a really soft-looking nice look. I feel like it's a bit too cold for my skintone but I can still wear it without looking like a ghost.

At christmas I read that this was a limited edition for the holiday's but I bought at the ending of april, bit weird don't you think? You can buy the lipbalm stick for €3,50.

Essence: Floral Grunge Eyeshadow Quattro

Hello my loves,

As always Essence brought out an limited edition this month; Floral Grunge. The last couple of limited edition were a bit disappointing, this one however is pretty cool.
Essence combined two spring trends together: Floral and grunge. Two things I really like. I love the sweet colors of the floral trend and the raw edge from the grunge trend. They even brought out a dip-dye-powder. I bought the darker eyeshadow-quattro and the mint-colored nailpolish. Today I will review the eyeshadow-quattro for you.
This collection has two quattro's. A floral quattro and grunge quattro called; '01 Eye Like Flowers' and '02 Eye Like Grunge'. I bought the grunge version because these colors appealed more to me (the other one has orange and pink). This palette has dark mossy colors that fit the grunge trend perfectly.
The packaging is the same as the other quattro's in the regular essence collection. Only the background is now black instead of silver. Also is the name of the brand pressed into the packaging this makes it a bit more chic-looking.
The quattro holds 4 shadows (no shit it's a quattro). A matte dark grey, shimmery mossy green, a anthracite matte and a shimmery purple. I'm not very impressed by the pigmentation. It's nice but not very spectacular.
The quality however is nice, the shadows don't crumble and stay nicely packed together in the pan.

Products I used:
Essence: Floral Grunge: 022 Eye Like Grunge
Catrice: Long Lasting Eye Pencil: 070 Blue Berrymore (review)
Rimmel: Sexy Curves: Intense Black

I  made a spring look with this palette, it's therefore a spring collection. I used the purple in the first half of my eyelid. The mossy color in my crease and the dark-grey as a liner. A purple liner I used to line my eyes,  lick of mascara and you're finished.

I like this palette but it's not my favorite. You can make a pretty smokey look that looks very natural with this quattro. I reminds my of a fall forest, a bit weird for a spring palette, it's however very pretty.
You can buy this palette only this month for 2,99.
Later this week I will share the swatch of the mint nailpolish with you.
